B.C.U. Whitewater Kayak 3 Star

Whos it for?
Successful performance at this level indicates that a candidate can consider themselves an intermediate paddler rather than a beginner. The three star paddler will be a competent performer in sheltered to moderate water environments and have the ability to paddle unsupervised, with similar standard paddlers on sheltered water.  Ideally suited to anyone who has done the 2 star or has previous paddling experience and wants a recognised level of competence and a structure for progression into paddlesport.

What’s included?
The course will include:  equipment choice and selection , boat control and intermediate paddling skills.
Equipment: By now you probably have your own equipment however if you are short of anything equipment is available for hire please contact in advance.

Where’s it at?
The course will be based on a river with simple moving water up to and including grade 2, throughout the uk.

When is it?
These courses run regularly throughout the year. To find out availability or to request a date for your group please contact us.

How many people and how much is it?
Minimum 4 people per group. Maximum 8 people per group. £90 per head per 2 day course plus any additional BCU fees (BCU members £10, Non members £20) . Accomodation not provided. If you have a larger group please contact us to discuss your requirements as we can run multi group days. If you don’t have 4 people don’t worry. We will try to link you up with others and hey presto you even get your first paddling buddies.
