Who’s it for?
This course is best suited to novice / intermediate level climbers, people who have been climbing for a while outdoors but have never committed to taking the lead, or indoor leaders who want to cross over to leading outside.
What’s included?
This course will give you the skills to go to the crag, choose a route and lead it. You will learn technical aspects of rock climbing such as fall factors, how to place and use protection and how to bring up your second. All the time we will look to develop your climbing technique to enable you to become a smoother lead climber.
Where’s it at?
The course will be based at a single pitch crag in either the Peak District or Yorkshire.
When is it?
These courses run regularly throughout the year. To find out availability or to request a date for your group please contact us. Take the Lead! Is a natural progression from our Inside Out course. Novice climbers could join the two courses together to produce a 4 day course to enable you to take on the challenge of becoming a “Lead climber”.
How many people and how much is it?
Minimum 2 people per group. Maximum 4 people per group. £100 per head per day or make a weekend of it for just £180 per head (accommodation not provided). If you have a larger group please contact us to discuss your requirements as we can run multi group days. If you don’t have 2 people don’t worry. We will try to link you up with others and hey presto you even get your first climbing buddies.
