Intrepid Pursuits was founded to enable people from all walks of life to have the opportunity to do something adventurous.

We have three main areas of work but are continually looking for new pursuits for our clients and ourselves.

Adventure
When we’re not training and assessing instructors of the future we run a programme of challenging, adventurous and intrepid pursuits. These vary from taster sessions at the local climbing wall to guided trips to remote mountain regions around the world. See our Adventure courses section of the website.

Safety
We work with outdoor centres all around the UK training and assessing their staff to high standards and advising on matters relating to the provision of adventurous activities.  Our aim through this is to enable young people the opportunity to experience the activities we enjoy so much ourselves and develop into the explorers of tomorrow.

Learning
Intrepid Pursuits founder Steve Anderson is also a Mountain Leader Training England (MLTE) approved course Director, and through our partnership with Mountain Activities Ltd (MLTE course provider no. 139) we are able to provide National Governing Body awards in rock climbing and mountain leadership. We also design and implement Continuous Professional Development (CPD), refresher and in-house training and assessment courses for our clients. We also have strong partnerships with providers of other activities and therefore can organise courses in other disciplines, such as first aid, BCU and cave leader courses.
